Dr. Emin Mikaelian

Dr. Mikaelian is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist licensed by the State Board of Optometry. Dr. Mikaelian earned his Bachelors degree in Biology with a Minor in Philosophy from California State University, Northridge and went on to pursue his Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern California College of Optometry where he graduated Cum Laude (with honors).
He completed clinical externships at the Veterans Hospital in West Los Angeles and Bakersfield, where he focused on diagnosing and treating diseases in the Veteran population. In addition, he rotated through the Hu Hu Kam Indian Health Service Clinic in Arizona and at the Ketchum University Health Clinic in Anaheim. He has extensive training in diagnosing and managing eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, retinal degeneration, as well as co-managing LASIK and cataract surgeries. He has also worked with numerous retinal and anterior segment surgeons.
Dr. Mikaelian grew up in Glendale, CA and is happy to be working near his hometown. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying out new restaurants, and traveling to new destinations. Dr. Mikaelian is fluent in English and Armenian.
